This is based on a comic I saw yesterday and the Illustration Friday theme: Return. You can see it here. And here. Respectively.
The comic is by one of my favorite political cartoonists, Pat Bagley. I love the cartoon, but I disagree slightly. I agree with the hoodie depiction and the redirect to President Obama, but I think Pat is wrong by not including the government in his cartoon. That’s okay: I think the problem is very complicated. Even my depiction is an over simplification. Everyone wants a return on the gasoline pie.
