While we were doing current events and we were discussing the Illinois Primary, some of the trainees discussed how they felt about Rick Santorum. A couple felt like Santorum is helping Obama get reelected. I was surprised to hear them talk like this, but then again, most of them are Romney supporters. I sketched this while we were talking. The trainees really liked how I drew President Obama.
The Ogre works as a call-center phone-monkey. He would eventually love to work as a commercial illustrator or self-sufficient webcomic. The Ogre loves many things and hates few, however he has issues with almost everything (mostly because he has issues--he's started having acne around and on his nose and sitting place again). The Ogre is forty-somethin' flippy years old for goodness sakes and is loosing his mind.
You really captured the Santorum is helping Obama idea. This is one of my favorites!

Cleaver…Who are the trainees you mentioned?
I’m substitute teaching at Central Utah Enterprises, an adult transition center for mentally-disabled adults. Trainees is their job title. I help them focus on weaknesses they have so they can eventually move to regular jobs in manufacturing, retail or janitorial. I love subbing there. The trainees are adults with many of the same concerns as anyone else, just with either slower or limited understanding.

I really like how you mixed up the style of the cartoon here…and Yes, your portrayal of Obama is great. Excellent political cartooning, I wish I could draw faces…..!
